You will first spawn in at the regroup area. This is where you can spawn your cars and wait for your turn before the start and after the finish. Spawning cars is only possible in the regroup area - you will not be able to do it on the stage! Before each run, your start time will show up on the left side of the screen. Starting intervals are 30 seconds. You can follow the time on the bottom left corner. Line up behind the stop line. Once the car in front of you has started and your turn is next, line up behind the start line. There will be a countdown. You can drive your car against the stop sign (it has collisions) and then stop your vehicle. 10 seconds before the start the red lights will go off, 5 seconds before the start the stop sign will disappear and lights will start lighting up. Starting too early (jump start) can give you a time penalty of 5 seconds (it will give you 1 corner cut). You can start at 0 and the lights will stay off, countdown will stay at 0 and stop sign will be invisible for around 4-5 seconds after the start (so in case you stall or have a slow start you've got around 4-5 seconds to get off the start line). In case you manage to fail at the right time, wait for the next countdown. In this case everyone's starts will be delayed by 30 seconds.
To add to the starting procedure: the starting order is unrestricted class > 4WD > 2WD
As long as you stay on the road between the snowbanks, you won't have to worry about anything. If you do go off though, any corner cut will give you 1 CC (corner cut) and each CC is a 5 second penalty. If you earn 5 CCs in a single run, your run will get disqualified (it will not count towards your final total time) and huge cuts can disqualify your run right away. Remember that you need to get at least 2 valid runs, as your 2 fastest runs out of 3 get added together for your final total time. CCs get reset after each run.
If you do not finish a run you will not receive a time for it and you cannot retry, no exceptions will be made. This includes getting stuck, falling off the map, losing connection etc. You need to finish at least 2 runs to get a total time as the total time is based on your 2 fastest runs. If you do not finish at least 2 runs you will not receive a final result for the event. If you're late to the event, you can still start as long as you're on time for runs 2 and 3. Same thing if you need to leave early - as long as you finish runs 1 and 2 you can get a final result. If you crash and get stuck, you can try to get it out. If it seems impossible, blocks the road either partly or fully, or takes too long, you will have to delete the car and retire that run. If you retire on a run you can still start the next one as long as you're on time for the start of it. You should be in game at least 2 minutes before the run starts, otherwise you may not receive a start time!
The game follows the actual time and live weather of a real life town in Sweden!
